What we do is unlike anything you have ever heard two vocalists doing before.

Askew and Avis have made it their mission to explore the limits of what
the voice can do when it comes into contact with the latest technology.
Come and be part of the revolution!
In our workshop, whatever your previous experience of singing,
you can come and feel the joy of singing together and looping
your voices as a group.
An enjoyable warm-up takes you straight to the heart of the voice:
relaxing, releasing the body as we sing confidently with an open heart.
These simple warm-ups will already be taking you into our world of livelooping as Robin, our laptopping DJ, samples and plays back your voice:
you will soon be singing along with yourself!
You can then respond to the loops you have made, being playful with
your voice, layering new parts on top of those already recorded.
You also get to practice some simple microphone techniques that singers
use to improve their performance.
Finally you learn a whole looped Askew and Avis song together,
so that you can all perform it, with us, during the concert that evening.
